Packed up the tent this morning in the rain and then went to the Wilmot Cafe for breakfast with my friend Nyle, who camped with me last night. The walls of the cafe were covered with ha-ha-funny-but-not-really signs and knick knacks. One sign said: "today's menu choices: take it, or leave it." Another sign said, "men are god's gay gift to women", but upon further inspection it turned out that it actually said "men are god's GAG gift to women". That disappointed me.
I am now setting up to paint along the bike path, about 40 miles north of downtown Chicago.
